Vengeance CTF Tournament Intro + Signups (Open Now!)

Format:

Vengeance is a offense-favored 3v3 sign-up tournament. Each team that enters will have to play all the other signed up teams on 4 maps (from a pool of 6). The catch is, the winners are decided by the number of overall flags captured, not rounds won. At the end of the entire tournament, whichever team has scored the most flags will be declared the winner. If two teams tie at the end, they will play each other on 4 maps.

At the beginning of every match, both teams will eliminate 1 map each from the pool (order determined by cointoss). The teams will then play the remaining 4 maps.

Teams:

This is a sign-up tournament, meaning anyone can form a team and sign up. Although it will be played 3v3, a team is allowed to sign up up to 5 players on one team. This will help alleviate any issues where teams may not be able to locate one or two of it's members. Please designate a team captain.

velocity map01, zdctf map04, 32in24-4 map17, 32in24-12 map11, 32in24-7 map11, bpctf map27

(IDL2013.WAD Maps: 02, 04, 17, 21, 22, 27)

A wad will be provided for you within the next two weeks.

Rules:

- Tournament will last from [Timelime TBD according to team count]. All games must be played during that time.

- Any team that holds up the tournament for a significant amount of time will be disqualified.

- Games must be played on the Best Ever (BE) NY servers that are located on Zandronum.

- Demos should be posted in the results thread along with the scores. There should be at least one person recording per game.

Just to give an update, we are working on setting up the servers for you to play on, as well as a standings spreadsheet so we can keep track of every teams scores and progress. The biggest thing is the servers, so as soon as those are ready to go we can begin.

My only concern is that the only 'go to people' for this tournament are Humanbones and Dewww. They have as much experience as anyone in the doom community for running a tournament but it just seems strange they want to host one on a port that neither of them seem to play much, never mind join it's irc network.
