All right I guess it is time to take this a bit more seriously.
Rules :
0.0 Format of the League :
0.1 Zandronum TDM Tournament is a Single Round-Robin Tournament in which each contestant meets all other contestants in turn an equal number of times and each participant will play every other participant once.
0.2 All Round-Robin games are a best of three. If at the end of 2nd games both teams are still tied, the tiebreaker round will be played under the same conditions.
0.3 In case there is a points equality in the ranking between two contestants, the team with the best Kills Average will advance to the playoffs.
0.4 If both opponents have the same number of kills after the time limit is reached, the Suddendeath will define the winner of the match if one of the two teams manage to seize the "golden frag".
2.0 Choosing a Server & TieBreaking Procedures :
2.1 According to the location of the registered players, we will use 2 servers as defaults (homefield and away) ; Supposing one is located in NJ and the other in EUROPE.
2.2 For teams sticking to a single server -- If there's two teams composed of Euro and American player, they must tell their opponents what ping they have on the server they are going to play. Example: Team ABC got 110 ping average on NJ, and Team DEF 125 ping average... Therefore they must have all their games on this server ONLY. The TieBreaker map will be defined by the team that has most frags. In case of equal scores in both games, a single flipcoin must be called, the winner of flipcoin will pick TieBreaker map.
2.3 For teams playing in two servers -- If an Euro-based team is facing off an USA-based team, each game should take place on the given server locations (cf. USA / EURO) and if they tie, the team with THE MOST FRAGS will choose the Tiebreaking game server and the second team will choose the TieBreaker map. This is as much applicable for the Round Robin, the playoffs (BO3) as for the final matchs (BO5).
2.4 So, who's gonna pick the server first ?
- The arrangement for selecting a server in first should be done by the teams and their opponents. The outside team will pick the map.
- And the team that is playing on it's homefield server will pick the map in second line.
- As mentionned in 2nd paragraph, if 2 teams play all the games in the same server, any teams can pick the map in first line but the TieBreaker map must be picked by the team that has most frags.
2.5 Note that only the final matches will use a Best-Of-Five format.
3.0 Divisions & Scoring :
3.1 The first season of ZTDML will consist of two divisions in which will be divided into 2 groups. One will be the "Skills" division and the other will be the "Rookies" division. The number of signups will determine the amount of teams.
3.2 Each Division will have it's own playoff. The playoffs will be a single-elimination. At the end of the playoffs, the winner of Division 1 will face up to the winner of Division 2. A game for the 3rd and 4rd place will also be played.
In case there is an equality points in the ranking between two contestants, the team with the best Kills average will advance to the playoffs.
3.3 The scoring system for ZTDML is simple:
A 2-0 win = 3 points
A 2-1 win = 2 points
A 1-2 loss = 1 point
A 0-2 loss = 0 points
4.0 Playoffs & Qualifying :
4.1 ZTDML Playoffs will use a single elimination in a Best of 3 format. For example, the team with the highest standing will play the team with the fourth highest standing and the team with the second highest standing will play the team with the third highest standing (e.g. 1-4, 2-3). The winners of both games will face off in the championship.
4.2 Each 2nd Round Play-off match up will consist of a Best of 3 format.
4.3 A round will be played every single week and meanwhile, each team will have to arrange together to plan their game.
4.4 Playing on different servers due to ping differences OR in the same server ? Read back the Chapter 2.0 and apply the rules please.
5.0 Finals :
5.1 Each final match up will consist of a Best of 5 format.
5.2 10 minutes will be used as the timelimit.
5.3 No players replacement will be allowed and the finalists will have to play with their authentic line-ups.
5.4 Same as the first round and playoffs : If 2 teams got a common ping on a server (example NJ), they must play all their game on the said server.
5.5 So, if both teams meets again on two servers (USA / EURO), the servers must be used in that order : USA, EURO, EURO and USA / EURO, USA, USA and EURO.
It is important to keep this order because if the team A play on it's server 2 games in a row, win them, switch to Euro, and win it, the team B will be playing only once on it's server since team A won the serie 3-0. (CF. CHAPTER 9.0)
5.6 Only 2 maps will be choosen by the finalists, the 3rd, 4th and Tiebreaker maps will be defined by the league.
The winners will get a cup of Cocoa.
6.0 Team Format & Scheduling :
6.1 Each team will be composed of 2 players. Those who signed late will not be allowed.
6.2 The confrontations will be randomly scheduled by a bracket generator.
6.3 There will be no trading activities, but a free agent can be used in case of emergency. A free agent is a player who is eligible to fill with any team.
6.4 Each team is responsible for scheduling it's games with other teams. To do this, the whole team must meet with the opposing team and they must both agree upon a time to play the game.

11.0 Meaning Of Best-Of-Three/Five :
11.1 A best-of-three playoff is a competition between two teams head-to-head which must win TWO games to win the series. TWO is chosen as it would constitute a majority of games played; if one team has won TWO games before all three games have been played, the games that remain are omitted. Possible scores: 2-1, 2-0
11.2 A best-of-five playoff is a competition between two teams head-to-head which must win THREE games to win the series.
