I've joined a server for some casual duels, and there was this "Sheldon" alias which pretended to be some french guy. Only towards the end I realized who he actually was, but of course he has to pull his cute trolling as usual and pretend a couple of casual matches were the "real deal"... well no comment

That is actually a bad idea for those wanting to play in nospec server. I know spectators can be extremely distracting/disturbing when they're filling all slots, so, just respect his choice. There will be demo anyway...

Either a demo, or a stream, especially if you're going to go to the noSpec.

In this case, if someone can quickly implant a "specs_cant_talk" cvar implantation for the duel servers, it'll gladly help for those kind of situations...

Why not just press F8? It mutes everything, and considering you don't necessarily have to hear the opponent talk it's a viable solution.

LMS Settings -> Spectators can't talk to active players.
Can be used for any game mode.
