Zandronum

due to the recent successes of ZDC, and the continued interest in playing duels, I would like to expand into ctf. I'm planning to have a ctf tournament started in the next few weeks/(months?) and I would like to gauge interest.

format:
8 teams (this is subject to change)
solid and well defined ruleset (to be expanded upon further if enough interest is shown)
reliable and well-known captains to run teams
franchising (maybe)
dynamic maplists testing teamwork and individual skill

this has been planned for a long time, but now I just need to analyze the interest in this. please give feedback in this thread

Will this be anything like SICL? Because if the community gives this a run I think it'll be very fun like the old ones were.

I'm down for the idea, just as long as it's not like what Soulsucka did and be lazy about the games then let the entire thing flop.

I would want a CTF tournament here in Zandronum. But it needs better management over it.

Literally CTF Tournaments don't last here due to management....With that being said....I would want a Tournament if it would have dedicated Management

There are definitely enough dedicated players for this to work. What do you mean by franchising?

If the PLAYERS would just dedicate themselves and not cry over losing, this would work out. But nope, as this consists of many 12 - 16 year olds.. They can not be dedicated really as they suddenly have to go and that's it..

With this said, I'd love to participate in a CTF tourney if people would actually do their shit..

There are definitely enough people. Like I can give full assurance I can play for at least 2 hours pretty much every day.

There needs to be a limit of who can and can't join, or consider doing a round robin tourney so that the losers are dq'ed instantly and don't need to drag their feet each week.

Just don't give me mathayus from last tourney and we're fine

So what if you can play 2h a day? It's WHEN you can use those 2 hours... Would you be able to play when it's roughly midnight - 3 am for you? Because that's when games usually go down. Due to the American timezones.

I can play as long as the games will be actually played :U

I'm pretty amenable yeah. But it's always better if yanks play earlier.

Don't count them on doing that, leagues follow american times and we are the ones that'll have to adapt (suffer).

EU and US teams - sorted.

EU will still have to play US - not sorted, and there won't be 2 tournaments.
