TDM Tournament - Rules & Signups

This should clarify what just happened:
Mr.Man/Fused made a team with ShelterScratch named "Royal_Ponies" and leaving SpaceMarine out. Then SpaceMarine went onto a team with Unbound named "Zwarriors".
If I am wrong, please do correct me on that.

As IdeIdoom said, i use both Mr.Man and Fused. Fused is my new name as of like a month ago.

Me and shelter are now a team because shelter chose me over spacemarine. Reason why this happened so late is because we went to duel a few times so shelter could figure out who would be more "usefull".

There are 3 people without a team, MrMan/Fused signed up as a free agent for division 2, who got picked by Shelterscratch for his team. Now we need to wait on the remaining so the tourney can commence at once.

I see the games will be based on a fraglimit. From my experience, it's much more exciting to use a short timelimit (5-7 mins) and no fraglimit at all, as long as respawning is forced, obviously. The games will be much more intense since the players will have to remain concentrated until the end of the timer.

Besides, not forcing players to respawn is a mistake, in my opinion. What if a player stops respawning ? Having no teammate against two opponents (1v2) can be really advantageous in some situations (not only when it comes to using the BFG).

Really, the current tourney rules make me say it's a "team based FFA" rather than what I call a "TDM".

By the way, your link to TDMax_b3 does not contain the .txt file. Please use this link instead or fix yours. It might be a detail to your eyes. But I got my work stolen (no credits, not even a "thank you") on Zdaemon a couple of years ago, when it was still beta1. Thanks.

Yeah, that'll be a good thing actually. At some points, I was thinking of basing the scores on fraglimits instead of using the tiebreaker that define the winner... but I do not really know if we should continue to apply the bo3/bo5 formats since these formats require an amount of additionnal match that can include a tiebreaker in case 2 teams tied. That being said, excluding the tiebreaking game would will no longer conform the "Best of" rules... so I don't know.

I'll let you make your manifests until one of the remaining team is complete. Otherwise I'll "be forced to spectate" both of you into our Free Agency ditch and leaves a chance to those who would like to sign-up.
