Yea... whats with the drama just set a date and lets do this. It is my business who stays in EG, please worry about yourself and not my members who like to have fun. So... CTF and TDM is the way to go to handle this for sure. Tenchu don't you agree? CTF and TDM for old time sake?

Jwar I thought you were fine with the shit talking, as gathered by your PM the other day you sent me.

Just to clarify none of this is intended to be a personal insult to anyone. I wanted to add some flavour to this 'clan war' so to put it. From my early days on ZDaemon a lot of the clan wars would be caused by one clan or player shit talking another, thus making it a little more interesting that a boring 'friendly clan war' (also since when were wars supposed to be friendly).

Again my main intention initially was to bait you guys into responding on the forums in hope that it would make you reply, since it all seemed to be LF trying to organise it without Ichi putting in much input. After looking back at some of what i've posted I probably did overstep the mark on winding you guys up down to insulting you. I've always got on with you Jwar so I apologise for any offence caused from this to you and to anyone in your clan.

Hopefully we can draw a line under it, and get on with the war. It seems to have grabbed the interest of quite an audience after this drama episode :)

Don't think it has been played yet... This is why I wanted to play the games last week, the week where we had countless scrims but EG didn't want them to count towards the war. I knew something like this would happen, and I'm getting the impression that certain people dont want to do this anymore.

For what it matters Friday or Sunday are the best days to play for me personally. How about everyone else?

Hey I've got a non-sequitur to ask, since peeps here are in clans and all and I've always wondered this: Why would clans (a group of players) use duels (a 1-on-1 archetype) as a gauge of victory over another clan? Why wouldn't TDM's, TLMS's, and CTF's (where a team has to cooperate together and act as a cohesive unit) take forefront? To me, there could be two players who, while individually may be quite skilled, lack any sense of teamwork--meaning they really can't be classified as a good "team".

As an off-note, seeing all these old LoL champion portraits makes me want to adjust my own avatar accordingly :P

Soooo...
Are we gonna fuck or what?

Anyways, I don't see this clanwar going anywhere, LF is on when EG is not, and you can't expect half of my clan to either pull an all-nighter or wake up at night/morning just for a clanwar, they've got lives and jobs you know.

If me and dr3k weren't the only euros it might be easier, but then again LF as of late is 80% euro.

Weird seeing how your clan has most of its roster on at a time (sometimes reaching 6-8 members in 1 server), and we've scrimmed almost every day during the past week...
We have 5 active and semi active American players, and me and the other euros have also played on american times. If there is a problem here it's definitely not time incompatibily.

the amount of games/scrims we played in the last 2 weeks that your team didn't want to consider as part of this "war" thing are enough for 5 clan wars. Try playing another card besides the "we don't have time" one(not like I personally care about doing this anyway, seeing how the scrims went even without ts/server advantage makes me wonder if going through this is really worth it  )

Well, no one has ever stated being too good in duels to play this war...

Not sure if that was an example but I think it is a mistake to judge certain players without really knowing them, however, it's not because they are good at duel that they are bad at teamwork games : playing on certain duel maps can somewhat help you practice on CTF, you can even train CTF in 1on1, like the fastpaced ones.

Anyway, it is clear that the duel is not the most interesting thing when we're talking clanwar.

Thanks for the reply. Oh no I wasn't critiquing any specific players here. It's just that I've seen examples from my college days where I'd see 2 people who were awesome in solo or 1v1, but if they teamed up they were absolutely awful due to no concept of teamwork and would actively lose to people that weren't good in 1v1's but did much better in 2's. Or seeing 2 people who were awesome at Contra 1 or something like Battletoads, yet the moment they teamed up performed terribly.

And the 1v1 thing being popular was just a curiosity on my part, since I've seen it be quite prevalent in other team-based games like Smash brothers, Tekken Tag, and a whole slew of RTS's. It's always bothered me why.

How does a duel map help prepare for CTF? I'm not challenging or denying, just very curious.

Yeah and if you'd want to be a good runner, speedruns can help you tho, having precise movements, ie trying not to
strive on your aiming, avoid wasting time trying to self-cover, avoid losing time your enemy bases, etc...

Oh excuse me for not having been part of those scrims and not knowing they even happened.

By the way, in weekdays I never see anyone from our clan on untill late evening/night on my end, and I don't see you guys either, only in the afternoon, maybe that's because I don't spend my life on doom too much anymore now that i've actually got stuff to do.

I wasn't playing any card, I was just stating the way i've been noticing it as of late, and if I recall correctly, I wasn't even allowed to participate in the war.

If this doesn't happen this weekend then I'll presume that this isn't happening at all. In the last 2 weeks we've beaten EG in enough scrims to win 3 clanwars, yet none of them have counted towards this 'war'. If you don't want to play this anymore, fine, just say, but the dodging tactics are really wasting everyone's time here. Ichi i want to hear from you.
