Time to add fuel to the fire. Zoltar has also been removed from LF. While the fault for the Mastodon fiasco was shared by both Swift and I, I take full responsibility for this one. I let my nostalgia and personal feelings get in the way of objective decision-making for the clan, and I forced him into the clan even though there was concern about his activity and rust from the other members. While Zoltar is my good friend and even a former LF member in the previous generations, his activity and present skill level don't match up to our standards at the moment and it was a mistake on my part to let him in when I did.

And with that, we're gonna take a step back and cool off while these events blow over.

Not for any personal reasons, my activity just dropped from atleast getting on for 3 hours a day to just a simple 30 minutes before eating dinner, taking a shower and going back to work in the morning. I don't necessarily want to take up a slot in the roster but I know I'll be back sometime after August when business cools down and theres not much to do.

This is also a precaution as my state is supposedly going to be hit by this derecho, a massive storm, which is predicting a major power outage for 40 million homes, and knowing my luck and living right at the edge of the water I don't think I'll be having power for a while. In short I'll be back sometime if I survive the heatwave, power outage, and working my ass off.

Just for clarification, Shane is not removing himself from the clan - just the active roster. Until he decides to come back to activity, he will be placed on the inactive roster.

I think we all kinda new Junior and Ammar weren't going to stick so no hard feelings and good luck fellas. Shane you are dumb for leaving because of a reason like that but if you really must leave then you will be missed. ;_;

Meanwhile, Aco and I are getting high at the LF lounge atop the LF tower atop the LF mountain. Swift is up here us too, but not because of the drugs but because he's that damn awesome. Reck and Xaver too.

anyway, I explained my reasoning already but here goes

1) inactivity (over half the lf members were inactive when I left)
2) tm was thought to be dead but wasn't, so I rejoined them
3) I am not here to play video games with a team who don't show up for games ever

I have followed this same procedure for joining and leaving clans for years but there is no reason for me to get flak for it now

It's not so much a lousy reason-

Theres plenty of talent just waltzing around Zandronum tagless, rather than focus on collecting all of the greatest into one clan, yeah sure it's cool to be the best clan but lets be honest here... What then? Do we just stop all activity giving no more thought into scrims if all outcomes involve us winning? When big clans like LF PRO or TM deny small time players it really hurts their morale and although I really want them to not feel discouraged they mope around and think theres nothing else for them to do, instead they either drop to inactivity or refuse to play at all. This is a petty excuse but there are some players who take this all a bit too seriously.

The Doom community is dying slowly as it is and it's competitive branch isn't so hot as well, we aren't as fortunate as ZDaemon's mexican playerbase that seems to crop up new clans every week, while still maintaining the powerhouse clan of DB4D. No offense to vgl by I get rather bored fighting the same old players on the same old maps, and whenever R finally gets around to play we hardly have anyone available to play.

I was also sick of the constant clan hopping, this isn't anything personal to Legion or Junior but hey if they want to join a clan thats more appealing and carries more character then by all means they are welcome to do so, to be fair Edd is really fun to play with and so was Nautilus when he was around so I envy those 2 for going back. But like Swift called them they are 'mercenaries', and I just don't feel like being in a clan where most of our recruits can't be trusted. Then again it is helpful on their part as TM is finally back up and scrimming again giving more competition for the masses.

I wish I could start a bunch of clans each with their own tier and goals but that would be impossible, the best I can do is to motivate fellow players to get their heads in the game and actually enjoy Doom for what it is, we're still fragging and we still need able bodies to have a good time, and with the amount of players out there, there really could be a uproar in activity if players just find the time to play
