The wiki needs more attention :(

Could you guys add a quick link to the wiki, right next to calendar? Just for convenience, since I usually go straight to the forums instead of the main site.

It's unfortunate that the wiki is left so much behind in contributions or even referencing it around, while it's clearly the best possible place for sharing all kinds of tutorials, information and even technical "under the hood" stuff.
Its big advantage over the forum is that everyone can collaborate in creating articles. For example, it's a big shame that threads like
Zandronum pill or
Clan listing are not wiki articles instead, so that anyone could update or expand them, in case the original poster becomes slow, busy or ceases to update at all.

One problem is that it is very difficult to get the wiki on google (in fact it does not seem to be on google at all for some strange reason), and it is scarcely advertised at all on the forum, so many people are probably unaware it even exists. The only sign of its existence is the small link on the home page. This should probably be rectified.

Hmm.. Tiger was the original Wiki maintainer and helped set up our wiki, but I don't think much happened with it after it was set up and working.
I added a link to our Wiki at the top of the forums, as well as a link to the Steam group, as per requests. Sorry that I didn't do this last year, oops!

Why is Wiki ungooglable? It's like it wasn't even existing. And it's really hard to find anything in there. Search option isn't perfect so I had to ask people who had seen article name before to link me.
Can you allow robots and, kind of, make it possible for most of people to use it?

Odd, our robots.txt doesn't disallow the wiki from being crawled.
I don't think I have access to the wiki itself (my user on there is a regular one, not an admin or anything like that), so as far as I know I can't fix it right now.
I'm not sure about the other stuff, I'd suggest making a suggestion on the tracker, then at least the dev team can see it.

Strange whenever I go on the tracker it doesn't give me an option to report a site issue.

Okay that is really weird, that's not what I see when I go into the site through FTP.

Well, I googled for "zandronum wiki" and got nothing. But of course, it's newly opened for google, so it must be low in ranks.
So I googled for "site:
http://wiki.zandronum.com irc" and got two results... "IRC" and "IRC Channel Modes" (no user modes page though).
Better than nothing, I just wonder if it's a temporary setting or if there are any reasons for it to be like this.

I sent a webmaster tools request to Google to re-index the wiki subdomain. It will hopefully be fixed within 24 hrs or less.

The search bar needs to be upgraded. If you don't know a cvar name you're pretty much screwed, for example:
If you want r_drawplayersprites and type r_drawplayersprite it will tell you that no such thing exists.

Splendid idea, I think it should Work kind of like the zdoom wiki on tht point, where is comes with suggestions on just what you are trying to find, which is pretty usefull.
