On behalf of the oracle himself (he's currently banned) I am going to post his thoughts on the competitive community in 2015:

---------------------------------------------------------

I wanted to make some competitive ranking of zandronum CTF players, i made once on IDL, nowadays is p much every1 dead and i am wondering how much players ill get for my list, including only ACTIVE players (means playing at once per week and stuff). The tier will be sorted from lowest to highest.

Bronze (this tier ares p much players which play for not so long time or not improving this fast)
Emann - clanless, has potentional become better player, but kinda stagnates for last couple of months, only usefull for frag maps

Boozer - clanless, not doing much for improving, very little brain play, usefull on frag maps, if the opponenets are weaker on ssg

Hugo - clanless on zandronum, less frag power than player above, can run certain maps against weaker defence, not much brain play

Silver (above bronze, did improving this year but not this fast, longer time players)
Dastan - clan TM, improved in last year, usefull on certain maps, especialy of maps type 06 or 29, not much team work, lesser frag power

AlienOverlord - clan TM, only usefull on fragging maps, zero team work, little improving this year

Zeberpal - clan E, stagnating this year (lacking competitive spirtit overall), can do some fragging work, little team work

Silver 2 (here are players, which play long enough, good on positions which they play)
AVC - clan E, his weapon is being fast (lag can help him too sometime during his running but this is diff story), lack team work, pretty much his team must doing everything and he only score flags, can sometime do pretty good even against strong defenders on certain maps, average aim

Halloween - clan E, not this good at ctf, average aim, pretty much only useful on certain maps, not much team work, can be usefull with well working team on certain maps

Otacon - clan E,he is almost gold, improving drasticaly this year, strong aim, can provide some brain/team work if needed

Gold (good players, playing for long enough or just good in particular, know ctf well)
Dranzer - can provide huge frag power sometime, but also good runner even on grind maps (04), this guy has deff potentional in future

Terminus/Moti - clan E, playing for long time, really good on certain maps, lacking ability of forseight to certain game to be in top tier, dont know all maps well

Armitage - clan E, this guy is a bit mistery for me, like he was active a lot 3 or 4 months ago, nowadays not a lot but i still put him here, i dont know his past (i guess he was some speedrunner/singleplayer maybe?) he was deff the raising star this year, and despite he pretty much started this year, he adapted really quicly, can provide fine brain play, fine defence even on maps requiring more knowledge, this guy has deff potentional

Galactus - clanless, he is pretty much the copy of armitage, but playing for a bit longer time, kinda started stagnate during summer, probably bcz of lack competition overall, p much learned aim and use weapons on Judas23 last year and now reaps fruits in CTF, can provide huge frag power, also usefull in team work and in more serious game, i hope his potenetional is not over, but it all depends on competition overall and shit, so who know.

Slyfox - clan A3, i put him just here bcz he pop up just recently, he is/was always good runner/RJ deadly on map 08

Kiwi - clan HN, playing for long time enough, huge frag power, i was neven much sure about this guy and play, he seems like never took any game serious, so lose with average team, or is being carried by some better players than him, really lack some more effort to be in platinum tier

Platinum (basically players which just play for long time, know all maps, quick adapt to new maps etc)
Edd - he still pop up sometime, he is rusty like hell nowadays, he is just here bcz he still sometime and can easy be top
Rustking - also veteran player, ofc know all maps, not much say about him, he is just good :D
strangle - same as above
Armour - top player
Fsn76 - he is good, i hate him on pub tho xD
JCD - p good runner
Karakurt - he is good, but i dont seen him much play in scrims/privs, but deff understand CTF game well
Dragon - he is pretty much dead with competition but i know he still sometime play under fakes some doom
Water - not playing much this days
Gob - elite runner ?
Jwarrier - also inactive a lot
RoSKing - the best xD
Denzoa - csgo global elite
Jenova . csgo real global elite
DS - lol doom
Capo - lol players

Yup i am missing maybe some players and shit, but till to tier gold players are active enough, you can see the veterans p much stopped play, which is sad? Q_Q The future of cometition, it seems be really sad, veterans dont play, last new player is maybe like 2 years old, gold tier which should hit platinum in future is really very little. Oh well doom is dead, brb csgo...

tl;dr version - lmao

longer version:
This doesn't imply absolutely anything more than opinions. I know some players here don't really belong in the "tiers" he listed. 'sides, don't think this does anything more than aggravate some people over who's better than anyone else.
Also: " lacking ability of forseight to certain game to be in top tier" - What the hell is that even supposed to mean lol
and I believe you missed this part:

cennou - he play with chicken wing, he pretty much similar to kiwi player, dont seen him doing well/carry with weaker team against good teams, can play well with better players in team
I wanna play with chicken wings too

One of the lost Dead Sea scrolls omitted from the Odamex bible.

This is a very informative guide that should help revitalize the community.

Quitters
Characterized by a fundamental inability to finish games/tournaments causing angst to everyone around them. They ragequit mid-game, don't participate in games they commit to, and have a reputation for being a sore loser despite leaving the game before the game finishes. They lack skill and everybody hates them, but they stick around anyway. Members of this list are ranked in numerical priority, where #1 is the worst position to have, the biggest loser.
Didn't know this Twitter account existed, my night has become better. Thank you.

This list is somehow even worse and some of those rankings are really mixed up and don't make a slick of sense.
But I'm always down for laughing at capo's amazing personality analysis ability and bad grammar. :D

As a highly active and competitive CTF player, I'd have to say this is gospel.

Oh lord this was one of the funniest things I've read today. If Doom had its own sports show, we definitely would need an 'Analytics with Capo' segment.

Where's the guide in this post? OP lied to us! Very amusing Pastebin though.

On a side note, gathering a group of knowledgeable players to make a power ranking system, listing the top 20-25 players overall or top 10 per main position (D, Mid or O), would be a neat idea.

I'm guessing the guide of becoming a good player is to play more, learn more, frag more and be like the players in Diamond ???

As for rankings, I think that would be the next guide from Capo. I can already see his top 5 Defenders list:

1. Stallion
2. Stallion on bad day
3. Stallion sick day
4. Stallion Drunk
5. Stallion haircut
