I thought of a tournament for Survival play but I don't know how many people would like the idea. Basically there would be teams of two players, and a set of maps to be played. Requirements such as 90% kills would be likely, as I would rather not make it speedrunning, but simply whoever beats the most maps wins. Tiebreaking can be done with either more maps or by stats (least total deaths, for example, as it is a two player game and one can die).

So would anyone actually have interest in playing such a thing? If enough people say so I would start it up and see how it goes.

Would be interesting, but possibly frustrating and it might be difficult getting enough available players to get it going.

I might participate if I'm free and depending on the map pack. Plz no Hard Doom, Complex, or Brutal Doom though. D:

I don't intend on adding any of that, with all due respect to people who like it, I think some vanilla action is better. And this can work with 10 or 12 people, I think we can get enough. And the maps will be picked based on how well teamwork can go on them and not just pray all these arch-viles at your spawn take long to attack. Classic and well-known maps, of course.

No offense but what good mappack will need real teamwork to beat? And you should have ammo respawn disabled because it'll be who is better at grinding hordes with BFG.

Item respawning is for public survival with 10 players. We're talking about actually playing the game, not sitting in a corner waiting for the megasphere and cell packs to come back up.

And I think I didn't make myself clear enough on the first post about the maps: there would be specific maps picked off, for example, round 1: HR2 MAP09, round 2: AV MAP29, etc. (just shooting out random maps, I don't even remember what av29 is)
