Is there any way to turn off mouse backward/forward
without activating always mouselook?

Yes. Type

Code: Select all

m_forward 0
in the console. Using the option menu slider won't do it because it only goes down to 0.5.

Why the hell has no one fixed that in all the time it's been a known issue? Not everyone wants the mouse the interfere with movement while just trying to aim with freelook off.

"Fixed"? It's not a bug. Joe Average Doomer would naturally expect "minimum" on a that particular slider to be "very low," not "nothing at all," I would think. That would make a reasonable feature request though, I suppose.

In games like doom the option you want to look for is turning look-spring off.

Slider consistency would be nice. SND_MUSICVOLUME and SND_SFXVOLUME sliders go to zero.

Bump-This option doesn't work. Kind of annoying, most people use WASD to move and the mouse simply to aim not actually move per se.

All slider to left side except overall & mouselook speed

Then: Always Mouselook: Yes.

Problem gone.

In general I wonder: Why would anyone use the mouse for movement? Strange thought the developer had at this time xD And with original engine you even cant unbind it from movement.

<+Dastan>	boxxy skin when
<+Shift>	dastan you really want to fap at it this much and now you are going crazy and shredding your hair into a million tiny pieces for this boxxy skin to come out that way you can cum out
<+Dastan>	Shift, yes

Well, sometimes I play with mouse only in vanilla doom because... I don't know, I think it's interesting.
I still use the keyboard to switch weapons (because vanilla doom doesn't support mouse wheels) and use the menu, though.
Why is finding the user CP so hard?
