Hey guys,
I am using Zandronum on mac and when I try to start a server so me and a mate can play, I get this message - "Error Opening file ./GeoIP.dat" and then nothing happens.
There was a thread from years ago which had a link to some GeoIP databases however the link and website no longer work.
Can anybody help?? Just wanna hit some crazy co-op with my mate
"Error Opening file ./GeoIP.dat" when creating server.

Re: "Error Opening file ./GeoIP.dat" when creating server.
https://mirrors-cdn.liferay.com/geolite ... oIP.dat.gz (extract it inside zandronum folder).
What is it's exact function though? My server runs fine without it but I added it for the sake of it.

Re: "Error Opening file ./GeoIP.dat" when creating server.
GeoIP is used to identify the country of the client's ip address. Most users don't need it.
Re: "Error Opening file ./GeoIP.dat" when creating server.
Where does it show the player's country though? I don't notice anything different in the console, when people join?
Re: "Error Opening file ./GeoIP.dat" when creating server.
If a client has cl_hidecountry off, then their country is displayed in their join message. Server admins can also see it at any time with the playerinfo command.
<capodecima> i dont say any more word without my loyer jenova
