Zandronum stopping working and freezing OS

t has only recently begun to happen, but my zandronum simply stopped working when I try to get into some online server(any server). I enter, do some steps in start map, and then my latency get something like "453687ms (0 fps)" and then it stops working and freezes my windows 8.1. Or I wait for a 10 min until slowly starting to respond slowly until I can close it, or I need to restart my pc.

All my other ports (like odamex or chocolate doom) work normally. Any clue what it could be?

This looks like the iuse I'm suffering...
Here I can fix that by going to the console and writing "vid_fps 1" after that the game Works just fine...
it takes a long time to write that so good luck :)

Hi ibm5155, thanks for the temporary solution!

Was wondering whether you would know the root of the problem as I too have recently started experiencing this fps issue upon accessing the options menu or moving my mouse in-game and would like to find a solution that doesn't involve inputting a debugging command to resolve this issue.

I was going to open the vid_fps 1 to see how many ms I was going to have and then... fixed O__o...
I wish I could know, all I know it's related to Windows 10 creators update and old intel gpus like the hd 4000.

Thanks for getting back to me ibm5155! I'm assuming that lijionator is also running Windows 10 with an Intel HD gpu seeing as we're both experiencing the same problem with those specs.

Also worth mentioning that this problem arose in early March for me if anybody's interested in locating the operating system and/or graphics card driver update that created this issue (Assuming that the update(s) is/(are) correlated with the issue that is)

Will update you and the thread should I find either a more 'permanent' solution.
