Zandronum

so i want to play oblige with this weapon/monster mod that makes it so there are diffrent enemy types for each enemy preset so there is like 6 diffrent shotgunners
the only i can get it to work is single player but then whenever i die i lose all my weapons from pervious levels and if i try to load a game it still makes me lose all my weapons because it starts the game up with the 10 sec timer

... Huh? I'm not sure I understand what you're asking.

If you're asking "How can I load multiple wads at once?" then the answer is ZDL, or if you're more techy you can use the -file parameter when you run Zandronum from a command line (via Terminal or Command Prompt). Or you can highlight multiple wads via CTRL+click and then drag and drop those.

IDE and Doomseeker should both allow you to start local(offline) games.
Just make sure the starting settings are what you want, ie dmflags gametype map etc..

Hah it took me a while to figure this out too when i just started. So as i expect, you can play up to 1 wad. Well if you have zandronum multiplayer, click that, and "make server". From there, insert the wads you want, and press "play offline". Of course, like Aenima said, you can also use ZDL, which is also usefull (but no opengl and such if i remember).

Huh? OpenGL works just fine with ZDL, it doesn't affect your Zandronum/ZDoom/GZDoom .ini in any way. So whatever renderer you were using most recently will be used when you launch a game via ZDL.

yes but i want it to play like single player doom II but it plays instead like a multiplayer survival server where your weapons are taken away when a new round starts

Ah then you must have "survival" as gamemode. Try to switch it to cooperative. This is also in the "Make server" tab.

Mb Aenima, i thought zdl was less advanced. But is uses a source of course. I think this as because i used to use zdoom for it untill i found zandronum

When you die in doom 2 you lose all weapons&Ammo then get forced to pistol start the map.. I think you are mistaking doom 2 with zdoom's -and its kids- autosave feature.

zandronum single player has autosave

If you want to respawn like you would on a coop server, type +multiplayer in the Doomseeker's Create Server's Custom Parameters tab

What you wanted could have been explained better...

Another way to enable it on the fly is to type "multiplayer" or "singleplayer" into the console to simulate that mode.

Typing "multiplayer" makes it act as if you're on a coop server, and singleplayer puts it back to normal.
