Hi,

How are you guys today? I am doing fine. I like to play Brutal Doom online with a friend, with Doom 1 this is fun. Don't get me wrong, it's fun with Doom 2 also, only "problem" is that Doom 2 is very long, unlike Doom 1 where is 3 episodes to choose from and game ends after completing episode. If i decide to end Doom 2 in level 10 for example and continue tomorrow, computed says No. Can't save net game, sure i can continue by selecting next map, but lose all ammo. It's not exactly a problem, but i still decided to ask that is there anyway to save online coop game? Thanks.

Huh. You can't remember player's ammo amount. You can though save info of how much monsters you've killed using "dumpmap" command which creates WAD file with current game state. You would both need to have this file. Also, you can drop our weapons and ammo, if you can keep server alive. Dropping weapons is easy, dropping ammo is a bit more annoying.
(I know Brutal Doom is much different than vanilla Doom, but pistol start being a big problem in Doom or Doom II... Maybe it's worth to put some effort into learning layout, finding out methods to avoid traps, seeking for secrets in cleared areas, isn't the pleasure of game in it?)

Been asked many times before (although I only found this one thread, I know there's more though):

There's no way to save the state of the server and all of the players online. Even in a LAN/private game with only 2 players. Sorry.
