Supported audio file types?

#1

Post by MusashiAA » Mon Dec 03, 2012 6:39 am

Excuse me for the one-time only account, but I haven't been able to find this info anywhere on the wiki...

What audio file types are or will be supported? Could someone give me a list of which audio file types are currently supported by Zandronum, and in the case there are plans for supporting other file types, the ones that have the more chances of being added?

I don't know, but http://zdoom.org/wiki/Supported_data_formats would probably be your best bet for finding out. Note that some things that work in ZDoom don't (yet) in Zandronum.

Almost all major audio formats work (WAV, OGG, MP3, FLAC, and even WMA).

If you're adding new sounds or doing some mixing, I'd recommend exporting them as OGG's and then loading them into the wad. OGG saves a lot of space and it's very good quality.
