Zandronum

Hello again.
I recently saw that the Zandronum Steam group posted a new event and thought that it could be fun to play a little bit of multiplayer.
When I look at a server that I want to join, it tells me that several things are missing, even the game .wad that I own and have played.

In fact, every wad on any server except for skulltag_actors.pk3 is missing.
Wut?

heretic.bat is not an IWAD.

I know, it's just to show that the game is there.
Please look at the top most puu.sh link, there you can see that the heretic.wad is apparently missing for some reason.
If you're not going to help me then please don't post here.

Yeah bro what your gonna need to do is link to heretic.wad in that directory box as appose to heretic.bat

I still get the same message when I mouse over the server's heretic.wad.

try copying the HERETIC.WAD into your Zandronum folder and see if you can run it from there.

Unholy garlic, that actually worked! But it doesn't seem right to do that with every single wad. How are they normally loaded?

But I'll assume that you're using Doomseeker.
Doomseeker stores your downloaded wad files in
%appdata%\.doomseeker for windows atleast.

Hello? I'm still having problems.

go to option -> configure -> file path -> add the patch where ur pwads and iwads are located pwads are like addons for the Iwads so you have to download them (also known as wads) after u put your wads in that directory you should be able to launch the game . to download the wads u just have to double click on server and it will download them for you

I barely understood half of that. Are you saying I should double click on the server I want to join and it will automatically download and save the required files from the server? It doesn't do that at all.

It won't download commercial IWADS, but it should download all the other ones.

Commecial IWADS as games like Doom, Hexen, Chex, etc.?
Well, It's not downloading those other things such as skulltag_data.pk3.

I think you automatically have those from installing zandronum
If not, try downloading and re-installing again

I tried uninstalling then reinstalling, and it still only has skulltag_actors.pk3 and zandronum.pk3.

Also, the game WADs are still not loading correctly and the game isn't downloading .pk3s from servers.

Zandronum doesn't include skulltag_data.pk3, you need to download it separately. Just join a server that needs it and let Doomseeker or IDE download it for you.

And that's the problem. Doomseeker doesn't download server files for me.

Maybe reinstall Doomseeker? or try IDE, I only use IDE and so knows it has the program getwad and works perfectly.

Reinstalling doesn't help and IDE's server sorting doesn't work too well and it's even missing
servers that I have played (I downloaded .pk3s from random sites manually) so I wouldn't want to use that.
