Zandronum on macOS, no multi-monitor support

Hi folks,
I'm running Zandronum 3.1 on an i7 macOS, I have an external monitor but the game only allows me to go full screen on the built-in monitor.
I tried the command vid_listadapters but then I get the message: 'Multi-monitor support unavailable'.
Any thoughts on how to solve this?
