Hosting Games on IPv6?

Is there any way to host through IPv6? The answers I'm finding seem vague but my understanding is you can host IPv6 on Linux but not Windows? What would some be some solutions to host a server with an IPv4 address from an IPv6 ISP address? I'd assume you would need to rent a server with an IPv4 address at that point

There was work on IPv6 support many years ago, but it was never merged. Currently zandronum solely supports IPv4 on all platforms.

As the one who originally created the ticket for IPv6 support in Zandronum (

Because there's nothing to say - no progress has been made.
