Problem creating a Doomseeker server after trying the recommendation
Hi guys, I have a problem with Doomseeker and the port-forwarding thing.
I tried everything, I've read THE port-forwarding post about Doomseeker with the port 10666 to 10700, tried to do it but nope, I just can't see my server at all.
I've been trying the port 5069, to play Doom without Doomseeker but to no success. I'm desperate, I just cant figure out what I'm suppose to do now and I want to play Doom coop so badly.
This is my router interface:
https://ibb.co/WpT8zLc
Also, maybe I have to also do something in Doomseeker?
Thanks a lot guys!

Re: Problem creating a Doomseeker server after trying the recommendation
I think I was able to resolve my problem but I just need a simple confirmation from you guys: if your server is working and can be seen do you see your own server in yellow?
Before I only were able to see the Lan server but only that and now I can see the Lan server and another one, like a duplica, but the name is hilighted by a yellow-orange color, does that mean that the server is working?

An easy way to see is just search your server at doomlist.net
For me I have to pin my server with internal address. I don't see any dupe.
Anything you pin will be orange/yellow.
EDIT: router settings don;t look right to me but it's a completely different layout.

So you're using TCP-UDP with no external host, I'll try that and see what it does.
Thanks for the reply.

Re: Problem creating a Doomseeker server after trying the recommendation
Looks like my server is there but it says "No Response".
When I use UPnP its says "NAT discovery error: Fail to find an UPNP NAT."
UPnP is active on my router
If I dont use UPnP it just does nothing different, still "No Respone".
Also, should I check the option "Allow the game to chose port"?
Also, I used Doomlist.net and I was able to see my server but not on Doomseeker.

If your server is there, I guess you have the port forwarding right.
You can't see your server in doomseeker because you haven't pinned it via internal address, IE: https://ibb.co/9n8mmBn (you need to manually enter your internal address:port)
UPnP is not gong to work for this, in my experience, just the normal port forward. No don't check the allow game to choose port.
As for the no response, are you using a set of wads that you know works well? You should be able to see any issues in the console when you load the server.
What is the name of your server, so I can look at it in doomseeker/doomlist myself??
EDIT: I'm pretty sure the external host would be one IP you choose, but to leave it blank will let any outside IP connect. I could have this wrong, but you certainly leave it blank.

Re: Problem creating a Doomseeker server after trying the recommendation
I finaly was able to create a server and someone actually join.
Now, I have a weird new problem now.
When I try to use a mod, like Brutal Doom or Doom64, and someone try to join, even myself, it says something like "Please make sure you're using the exact same wads as the server".
I really dont know why is syas that, this problem came out of nowhere and it only happen when you try to join my server from the list, if I use the option Join Game from the File option of my server it work fine
If you want to see for yourself go find my server "Brutal Doom 64" and use the password "testing"

Re: Problem creating a Doomseeker server after trying the recommendation
I've deleted all the pk3 files there was in the Doomseeker appdata registery and reinstal zandronum and Doomseeker.
I've changed some files in the options and now it works! I'll let my Brutal Doom 64 server open if any of you just want to try it.

Re: Problem creating a Doomseeker server after trying the recommendation
Hello again!
I'm back with this problem "Please make sure you're using the exact same wads as the server".
I tried to host a server with the mod "Going Under" but my friend just cant join at all, she always get this message "Please make sure you're using the exact same wads as the server".
We did what I was told, we deleted all her mod file in the Doomseeker directory in %appdata% and she re-downloaded the file and it still doesn't work.
When I create my server I use:
Game: Zandronum
Logging: *nothing*
Port: 10666
Game mode: cooperative
IWAD: doom2.WAD
Mod: Going Under
Broadcst to Lan and Broadcast to Master (Yes)
UPnP (No)
WAD Aliases:
doom. wad = freedoomu.wad; freedoom1.wad
doom2.wad = freedoom.wad; freedoom2.wad
plutonia. wad = freedoomu.wad; freedoom1.wad
tnt.wad = freedoom.wad; freedoom2.wad
Does she need to start Doomseeker as and administrator?
Is there a specific thing we need to do so that Doomseeker can find the mod?
Should we change the Doomseeker directory so that it won't be in %appdata% ?
