Zandronum

Hello yesterday I installed zandronum and lzdoom I put zandronum in opengl mode and started a game to see how it was, when I started the game gave me a terrible delay and thought I was going to happen the same with lzdoom? When I started a lzdoom game in opengl mode, I didn't have the same problem as in zandronum. Does anyone know why zandronum gives me a terrible delay???

By the way I forgot to say that when I start a game the zandronum is loading to the point of almost crashing
