Hi there. I've got this really weird rendering effect when using the OpenGL renderer. It doesn't seem to affect performance, but it's really terrible-looking and distracting. My computer has Intel integrated graphics, and thus uses the open source mesa drivers. What can I do about this? I tried GL_vid_compatibility with no success. Much of the fuzz disappears when I turn off dynamic lights, but there's still fuzz in other areas.

Welcome to living on the edge, the same happens on Debian Sid/Testing where the latest and bugged packages reside and since usually Ubuntu's 6 month releases are just a snapshot from Sid/Testing, is not a surprise that you are experiencing this bug.

Strange thing though, before I got Zandronum, I had the Windows version of GZDoom running via CrossOver. There were no errors like this at all; it ran perfectly. So I gave it a try on the Windows version of Zandronum, and got the same graphical bug that I have on the Linux version. So drivers can't be entirely to blame if GZDoom is working correctly.

Don't rule out drivers just yet. GZDoom has a much updated render than Zandronum does.
Try using different versions of Ubuntu such as 10.04 LTS and 12.04 LTS.
