Ok so, I have been searching EVERYWHERE for what the Zandronum IP/UDP server things are so I can finally port forward this. Been searching for a good 2 hours now, and cant find a thing about it. Google did not come up with answers, and the Zandro Wiki didnt help either, in fact just futher complicated things more there. Ok so what I need help with, is I need this imformation filled out so I can port forward. I need info entered to port forward on my router:
1. IP Adress
2. Starting Port
3. Ending port
4. Protocol (Like if its TCP, UDP, or both.)
Please let me know what the server numbers are, and I'll finally be able to put all this hardship behind me. I know nothing about how all this server stuff works. Talk to me as if I was a baby please -.- ANY help is appreciated.
I need help with the server IP/UDP
RE: I need help with the server IP/UDP
The thing is, every router is different and has a different interface, and is differently accessed.
1. the IP address box in the port forwarding section in your router is where you put your computer local (LAN) IP to forward to. It should start with 10.*.*.* or 192.168.*.* and you can get it by opening your command prompt and typing ipconfig /all. It will be listed under "IPv4 Address".
2. & 3. if you only plan to host a single server, put the default 10666, which is the default, to both fields
4. UDP
Give a shout if you need further explanation.

Alright so I think my port forward worked, but I dont see my own server. Is there a way to do this so I can see it myself?
Also, it seems my Call of Duty or Counter Strike WAD will not work on the server. It says something about layers but that cant be, cause Ive seen videos of people playing multiplayer on them. Is there a way to maybe fix those as well? They work just perfectly with no issues when I play them offline.
Lastly, is there a way when starting up a server, that I dont always have to point to my WAD folder when the "Welcome to Zandronum" window pops up?
Thanks for the help so far.

You will need to connect through the local IP, your router cannot "see" itself on the external interface. Easy help - add the local server IP + port into custom servers in Doomseeker or IDE.raysuko wrote: Alright so I think my port forward worked, but I dont see my own server. Have your IWADs in the Zandronum folder, or set correct paths to wads in Doomseeker/IDE options?raysuko wrote: Lastly, is there a way when starting up a server, that I dont always have to point to my WAD folder when the "Welcome to Zandronum" window pops up?
