Hello friends. I've been trying to get demo recording and playback to work on Zandronum but I'm having issues.
I seem to have gotten the recording function to work, with the 'Record demo' button on Doomseeker. It creates the cld file. Although, when I try playing any of these demos back, I'm only met with the console of Zandronum saying:
"Clientdemo_ProcessDemoHeader: This is not a Zandronum demo file!"
The version of Zandronum used to record the demo is the same as the version I'm using to play the demo. I don't have any wads loaded, though that's something I wish to do with this. I'm trying to record demos of my solo gameplay. I've searched up the error message, and could only find a dead thread.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
"This is not a Zandronum demo file!" Please help.

This can happen if you try playing back a demo file that was recorded in singleplayer. Unfortunately Zandronum only supports playback of clientside demos recorded in online games.

Thank you for the response. So, would there be a way to work around this? If I just host a server and connect to it, would the demo recording/playback be functional then?
Edit: Yes it would, I did some testing and got it to work. Thank you.
