Problems with screen resolution in Linux

#1

Post by Predatux » Sat Dec 07, 2019 11:39 am

Hello, everybody. The problem I have is that the maximum resolution that the doom admits is much lower than the one I have by default in my monitor. When I run doom, the game changes the resolution without problems, but when I exit the game, the screen resolution is not restored to the original.
I'd like to know if there's any way that when I exit the game, the screen settings are restored automatically.

Thank you in advance.

What Linux OS are you running? Along with the GPU and video driver you have installed? In XenialPup64 with an Intel HD Baytrail i'm not getting this issue, so it's not something common to all Linux systems.

I'm using Ubuntu 19.04. My graphic card is a Radeon RX570 with generic driver.
