There aren't really any flaws in Alien Vendetta. Scythe has small maps, the DTWID wads maybe aren't that innovative, Memento Mori/Requiem aren't too tough, Scythe has maps of varying quality and Hell Revealed lacks detailing. AV is detailed, has both small and large maps, has some interesting map tricks, and is considerably difficult. AV on top! (pun intended)

AV is probably the only one between those that I see played regularly by +10 players.

Don't know if I can make it but, I'll try. Also, since Romero's gonna play, why not do something old school?

We're probably going to go through the mapsets so fast we might need more than one server since Romero will probably attract 63 other players instantly and even AV will probably be made short work by the hor-players.

BTSX would be pretty bitchin'

Multiple servers would be really bitchin'

But then we have SuNS and FNF as well, if the guy has a few days free (which he better if he wants to survive the deluge of OMG SAfhSDKJFHSDKJFH ROMERO FKSDFFHKSDFH OH GOD SDOFJISDKJFHSD AMAZING)

It's motherf*ckin' John Romero.

Regardless of what is chosen, people will come for the man, not the mapset.

...eh, to hell with it. I vote AV.

Can't believe you guys didn't nominated Kama Sutra for the poll, an awesome classic that is kinda forgetten and not overplayed in any degree. Also Plutonia 2 got a very solid gameplay, map design and soundtrack. it's a difficult wad that doesn't involve much BFG spamming, and I find it more enjoying than HR.

BTW I hope you guys contact John ASAP and not on the last day before the event, I really doubt he won't have something else to do on Saturday until then...

One_two's email dates a while back.

Kama Sutra was considered, but the list is already a tad large. It is indeed a great project, and I would if I could D:

PL2 is Plutonia. Romero is most associated with Doom and Doom 2, and Final Doom is not as closely related to him. I mean, it's still Doom - but something feels better with the original IWADS that he worked on.

It's always 64 for SNS. Zandronum cannot go any higher.

Same here, just as sort of a reminder.
Relying on e-mails from almost a year back isn't gonna be much. :p
The Ranger - New class for HeXen.
ZDoom Wars - I drew some pictures.
Samsara - Some class-based mod I guess?
Metroid: Dreadnought - I am a dumb fanboy.
DemonSteele - ~come with me to anime world~

I still say we rotate with multiple SNS servers because Romero and his 63 Zandronum Allies are going to make even the lengthy toughness of Alien Vendetta easy and short

So without further ado my answer to what wad is:

HOST ALL THE WADS!

No, I disagree. Multiple servers for one event will never work.

Nobody would play in the secondary server anyways cuz they all wanna play with Romero.

well playing the same 32 maps for hours and blazing through all of them is no fun
hence multiple servers, to switch map packs as others get rekt

now watch as romero wonders why we aren't using gamedirs yet :v

Then merge wads you wish to play, edit map names and make a huge maplist. It's not hard. Considering it's for John Romero I doubt any of the authors would be against it. (Also the fact that most of them can't even be contacted)
