This week's FNF will be filled with CTF. For EuroFNF, there's also an
optional high-quality music pack for Zodiac CTF that I
highly recommend you download. Just put
zod2emusza.pk3 (sorry, you have to use this instead of zod2emus.wad) in your Zandronum/skins/ directory and you're set.

Ok, suddenly I'm glad I checked these forums when I did :>
This should be interesting, as I have completely differing experiences every time I play the ZodCTF maps.
Shame there's no chance of getting Milian to come play. And thanks go to Konar for dragging this one up - don't think it's ever been played on Skulltag/Ztantrum before?

I don't think so... it's certainly the first I've heard of it!
EDIT:
/me writes "ZANDRONUM" on cybershark's forehead in sharpie.

Still, Zodiac CTF was a lot of fun and went quite well.

Zodiac CTF was....not as fun. Some layouts were clunky as hell, and I didn't really like it overall. American FNF is fun though

You people are too conservative. Anthology. Isn't that just zdctf? Same maps that are played daily and they have to be on FNF every now and then too for it to be considered fun, meh.
Zodiac CTF was good enough to me. Despite many players complaining, they kept on playing and after all Euro FNF lasted for 3.5 hours with 10-15 in game, which makes it one of the more successful events. We did worse, no doubt. I do like distinctive wads, the atmosphere was nice thanks to the fantastic music (I believe Milian composed it?) and special effects.
So when's Zodiac DM gonna be played? ;)

did you tryied to say IDL?
anyway, Zodiac CTF is not bad, but their textures combination and some maps are bad :(, i have that opinion but maybe can be very funny :P (i mean with a lot of players)

There are other CTF wads besides IDL/zdctf that look good and play well. In this case, Zodiac didn't appeal to me (and a few others).

I hear what people are saying about "clunkiness". The problem is that this is by no means a conventional mappack - or map packs, rather.
For one thing, many of the maps are straight(ish) conversions of their DM counterparts - and, as such, do not allow for jump. This means that fans of the original DM maps will love them, but they may leave everyone else quite cold.
The other issue is that my intention was to create an mp1 and an mp2. mp1 would be the first cycle of the zodiac and was intended for a max of 6 (or maybe 8) players, while mp2 would be another 12 maps which were suitable for 8on8. Even then it didn't entirely make sense, as both Leos are vast, and both Virgos are just sorta midsize *shrug*
Friday, you played a mix of both - although the smallest maps were (sensibly) omitted. Sorry I had to miss it, but glad it was busy.

Huh? Could you elaborate on that? I always thought the maps looked great, if nothing else :?

with that i mean they use many textures in one sector and maybe that is not bad but when u use different textures in one sector, that is seriously bad

Can anybody else explain what he's saying? Because that just looks like he's contradicting himself there :/
Cool there's some feedback anyways. It's relatively unusual after any FNF, I think?
Also, lol at the custom title. Although I think "miscreant" would suit better than "migrant" :p
