Brutal Doom Author remains banned (not anymore)

I think he is a stand up guy who constantly updates brutal doom, with each update causing the wad to drop in quality even more. He indeed works 12 days a week proving himself to have too much time on his hands, though this should warrant his unbanning since he is dedicated to BD and would revitalize the doom community with his presence.

BD is an okay mod at best, I'll play it if I am extremely bored I guess. But I don't see anything amazing about it, if you want a better enhancement mod: Play Super Skulltag. THAT'S true Doom.

I didnt know him well, but I'm of course in the side of people who think that he should stop updating BD.

But he did something well actually with his Mappack giving a great gameplay that is supposed to be in the maps of 2015.

So I'm not againt him coming back.

Although honestly, on a side note, the idea of "boycotting" BD or any other mod simply because the author is a cock is dumb. I just don't play it cuz I think it's poop lol. Unban Mark here? Maybe. He probably deserves a lifetime ban, but maybe we can offer to unban him on the condition that he STOP telling users to use the Skins folder to load his mod. But he probably doesn't give a shit about the Zandro forums anyways.

On one hand, his mod is drawing in new players, but on the other hand, his advice is causing those new players to have Brutal Doom in the skins folder, where no gameplay-changing mod belongs.
I'd say unban him, but put him on probation. The probation would not mean that he would get banned more easily than anybody else, but if he does earn a ban during his probation (1 year?), it would be permanent.

He was banned because he got called out on his shit with telling someone to commit suicide and quite frankly kept saying sorry without actually meaning it.

Un banning him, probably a bad idea but it has been a while. The question really, do we want to allow him back here after his shocking behavior. (oh and the fact hes pissing people off by getting people to break their zandronum by dumping is mod in the skins folder)

I mean honestly I don't care either but I don't really see what anyone has to gain from this dialogue. If you didn't bring it up, he'd probably still stay permabanned. Unban him and he'll probably do something to get himself banned again, and this community probably doesn't wanna play nice with him anyways so maintaining the status quo of him not being here is probably in everyone's best interests. If I were a staff member I probably wouldn't even give it a second thought.

Well, let's be honest, there's really only one reason this thread was made.

That being said, I think it's pretty viable to hear people out. It's not like we have the final infallible stance; I think it's pretty straightforward too but even as I write this we're talking about whether it'd be better to unban or keep him banned, and we're talking about what people are bringing up.
I mean, we made a mistake. Oops. Locking it and brushing it under the rug isn't gonna do anything. Gotta face it and figure out what we're gonna do.

I think the thing is ppl forget that it's not a difficult task to re ban him in any case if he acts out again. Place his posts on moderation like decay's posts should be and any rising problems would be dealt with, with the rebanning being perm.
