Hi All, Just creating a new forum thread for this.

What the hell is TSPG?

The Sentinel's Playground is now a free, automated server host for Zandronum.
It has existed since 2010, however, it was shut down due to lack of funds.
Our organisation used to host a small set of Deathmatch and CTF servers that were not popular or were underground in efforts to get them played.
Now we have decided to allow all of you to run almost anything you want on our hardware.

TSPG uses a web site front end as opposed to best ever's IRC bot to allow for ease of access and usability. See the bottom for this post for some useless trivia about how TSPG came about.

Access

You will need to make an account if you don't already have one. An email address will be required as it will send an activation email. You also will need to check out the Rules Here

Features

• Host from various IWADS (Doom/Doom2/Final Doom/Heretic/Hexen and more)
• Host up to 3 servers.... for FREE
• Save your configs as presets and load them again when needed when hosting a server
• Able to access logs and a config file of that server via Server information
• Upload your WADS to our server. Set them private to restrict access if need be
• Use RCON on the website rather then going ingame or using the rcon console

Spoiler: Useless Trivia (Open)

The Sentinel's Playground was built around 2010. It became a cluster that had meaning. It was named after a song known as "The Sentinel" By Judas Priest.
The server was also home to All fear the sentinel Deathmatch. Both of these had meaning in the songs chorus. Those lyrics were:

SWORN TO AVENGE!
CONDEMN TO HELL
TEMPT NOT THE BLADE
ALL FEAR THE SENTINEL!!!!

The person who suggested the name was Tib, back in the day. This means there is 6 people currently that also were (or still is) apart of the Hellspawn Armada who may have been apart of that discussion back in 2010.

Tib also likes beds. I felt like saying that.

AFTS bitches

Well its about time I write about all the stuff we have done lately and stuff that we are working on. A-lot of things have changed slightly.

First things first, I can finally bring this dead meme back!



As you may have seen, we brought back britsteel and its here to stay longer. To host on this, there is a option on the left hand site on the website that will let you host on this node. We are hoping that this might bring some life back to the Euro side of the community. Have fun hosting there.

Quake

If you remember, we promised quake hosting but we had bigger fish to fry in relation to tspg which is why its taking ages. I am glad to say we have made major strides in this. Source ports for quake 1,2 and 3 have been installed and a web interface is being worked on currently. This weekend we are trying to get some design plans on how its going to work.

You might also notice we have been starting to be advertising quake related discords in our discord server. High chance of influx of people may be coming in.

New Dev and Bug Crushers

We also welcomed BloodHaeven to the Dev team (infact, hes working on the quake stuff as we speak) He has been very good and helpful so far and I hope it keeps going :D

We also decided to set up a 5 person testing team to test out new features we might do on the site, server binary and also to stress test various parts of the website. Your team for this is Black Metal Chainsaw, Korpse, Tib, Michaelis and Eclipse. I will advise that they are not the ones you should be talking to about bugs, you should still be either notifying the devs or.... which leads onto my next thing......

Bug Tracker

We also introduced a bug tracker so we can keep track of every issue that might come our way. I would like more people to start using this then rather pinging our Devs often. There will be a link on the main website (and on this thread)
