I would like to address a problem that I have been noticing on FUNCRUSHER recently. Specifically, the problem of troll votekicking. This is not exactly a new problem, but I have been noticing it a lot more often in recent weeks.

• In 99% of cases, troll votekicking somebody, or votekicking somebody for no reason falls afoul of one of our rules, specifically Do not maliciously interfere with an in-progress game. If you do this, expect a vacation.
• Connecting to FUNCRUSHER via a proxy is henceforth frowned upon and could get you unceremoniously banned for no other reason than connecting via a proxy. This goes for open proxies that you find on the internet, private proxies that you pay for, and even proxies that you set up yourself.

If the rule about proxies is going to be problematic for anybody, please let me know. Also, if you are banned for proxying by mistake, please contact one of our administrators and we will get you sorted out.

It only took you this long, but better now than never. Everyone who uses a proxy in this game are up to no good anyhow.

Don't most proxies add at least 80 to your ping anyways?

Depends on where. You can proxy to next city and get +5 or +10 while still evading, which is how shadowfox duels on this port a lot.

The FUNCRUSHER website is temporarily offline while I redo it in something that doesn't have a security vulnerability every other week.

Also a few weeks back, I added Marcaek as an administrator. Everybody say hi Marcaek.

Also, a reminder that if you need help, mass-highlighting the ops in #funcrusher is by far the fastest way to get an admins attention. And yes, you do have permission to mass-highlight the ops in that channel.

seems likely tough for you alexmax. I wish I could help. but haha idk how to do your own thing. Good luck redoing it mate.

The website is back, now as a ballin’ static website with no backing database.

Duel ELO and Experience points will return soon.

FUNCRUSHER NJ and associated things like the site and file hosting is down temporarily.

I'm working on getting it back up into ship-shape. Stay tuned.

There has been a small change in how players can acquire passwords to Funcrusher's private ctf servers. If you want to receive the password you *must* join Funcrusher's discord where an admin will assign you the priv role to gain access to a priv channel which will have the password.

Please keep in mind this is not in response to anything, more so just a preemptive move to protect against players giving out passwords to other players of unknown origin.

With that said I would like to echo what Alexmax would desire out of the behavior of those who visit Funcrusher's discord; The discord is only meant to discuss various funcrusher issues, changes and maintenance and is not to be used as a way to vent frustrations towards other users. We only wish for FC discord to be neutral ground for the users that inhabit it, admins will deal with hostility as they see fit.

NJ and DE are undergoing a change in how passwords for private servers are given out. If you want to obtain the password to private ctf servers on funcrusher then you will need to join the funcrusher discord server here - https://discord.gg/uPkzcHF - and either request for a "priv access role" or one will be dealt to you if you are recognizable by name. We are trying to keep better tabs and moderate the distribution of the passwords to help better the growing situation of new players with no background getting into priv.

The passwords will be changed on a monthly basis starting on the 1st of March, this is to ensure that only the players trusted with the pass are allowed access and keep the undesirables (michael) out.

I would like to take this opportunity to say again that Alexmax does politely ask that you maintain some decency while in the funcrusher discord, any drama that happens between two players in a server must stay either in that server or in another discord chat. FC discord is not meant to be a mediator in such events rather just a hub for the cluster in general so please be courteous to others regardless of the way they treat or have treated you.

As well the same rules on funcrusher irc channel apply to the discord too, feel free to highlight the admins for anything you might need.

I should also state that mentions are disabled on Funcrusher discord and no one can mention the priv access role, if we need to as well this method is also subject to change whether or not it will be implemented onto other servers.

Seems like a rather convoluted system, and I don't appreciate it forcing me to idle in another Discord server, but I guess time will tell how effective it is at maintaining order in priv.
