Just a heads up that due to the recent and frequent ddos attacks against my Ragnarok server (which is hosted on the same server as the Zandronum servers), we are going to be moving Ragnarok to another server, hosted with Staminus.

What this means for you is that this server is basically here for the sole purpose of Zandronum server. I'll be increasing the server limit shortly.

There's also a handful of bug fixes that I didn't get around to implementing yet. The bot (and all servers) will restart sometime this week for bug fix implementation.

The server that hosts ragnarok also hosts the best-ever servers. The ddosers are targeting the ragnarok server which is ALSO best-ever.

Added an update today. Here is the changelog:

- Added server specific adminlist/whitelists
- Added skulltag_data.pk3 and skulltag_actors.pk3 to the default server start command (you don't need to add them anymore)
- Added independent logging system which will log server errors
- Added data option, which is an off toggle for skulltag files (skulltag_data.pk3 and skulltag_actors.pk3). Usage is data=off. This is on by default and should not be turned off unless you know what you are doing
- Added better server hostname parsing
- Fixed logs not being PM'd to users when the server crashes before successful start
- Fixed the bot not actually enforcing the 50 server limit
- Fixed a bug where the hostname would sometimes be blank
- Fixed co-op servers not using the correct wadhost URL
- Fixed a bug with users sometimes not being able to kill their own servers
- Shortened the server prefix from :: [BE] [Automated] New Jersey :: to :: [BE] New Jersey ::
- Removed the engine option. Only the latest release of Zandronum is supported.
- Moved website to http://www.[bad site]/
- Maximum server limit is now 4, up from 3
- Maximum global servers increased from 50 to 60

Note: This means you will have to restart your servers. All of the servers had to be taken down for the update.

Yes, simply run the server with the data=off option. It's on by default because a good number of the people hosting servers don't know what these wads do, and usually forget to add them if they are needed.

Very easy and simple service. However, I am having an issue where my server has a connection password, when I did not specify one nor define one. I did not have this issue before the most recent update. The hosting parameters are exactly the same as they were before the update, save for the lack of the engine parameter, and I'm using the same config file I did before. I'm at a loss as to the cause.

For a temporary fix just set SV_PASSWORD/SV_JOINPASSWORD to ""
so like do

For all coop servers, the skill is always set to 4 (nightmare) for some reason. :/

We're actually looking for better default configurations for gamemodes that aren't duel/tdm/dm/ctf. I don't really know which dmflags/svars would work best for things like survival, LMS, coop, etc.

Excuse me if I don't write the numbers but I fail to configure servers through the flags given when starting the server.

For survival:
One (1) life
spawn cooperative monsters
Items & Megaitems don't respawn
sv_doubleammo true
weapons stay when picked up
no crouch, no jump, freelook on, can suicide, can taunt
lmsspectatorsflag 3

For the coop:
spawn cooperative monsters
items & megaitems respawn
barrels respawn
start with a shogun
weapons stay when picked up
no crouch, no jump, freelook on, can suicide, can taunt
lmsspectatorsflag 3
