Anime music in Doom

I am wondering what doom might sound like if it's original soundtrack was redone to sound like it came straight from an anime opening (Minus the singing) I know this is probably a horrible idea as a lot of anime stuff doesn't fit in with doom, it's just got me thinking, would it match the games theme or would it have to be given a rehaul in order to match the music?
EDIT: Yes I know I am crazy, this just proves it.

It would probably just sound like campy Japanese power metal, right?
And for Igor's sake can we just stop trying to put Doom and anime together already? I know I get a lot of flak every time I say that (and no, there's no "right way" to do it) but honestly I feel like Carmack or Romero would die a little inside if they ever saw Swan Fox. And there's a reason I don't play on any server hosting vrskins ...

Eh, it depends on the kind of anime, I guess.
Doom with mechs would be great.

Yeah, same point, it depends on the music, not whenever it's from anime or not.

It's alright, I just needed a reason to go off about things that displease me again.
Going back to what i said before though, it'd probably be some Japanese power metal or maybe that metal remix of D_RUNNIN with the sick wah solo.

Monolith could make anything work. I'd also like to point out that anime
concepts can be cool in Doom, like that Gundam-y RoboTech mod that never got finished. It's just the anime
style that makes me cringe whenever I see people applying it to Doom.
Or the Cirno skin. Ffs. It's bad enough it exists but every player that uses it insists on tauntspamming so I get to hear those ear-splitting weeb screams and oh yeah half of the soundbytes have MUSIC in the background which makes it doubly annoying.

Well I mean,
this song should be familiar to people who've played Invasion UAC and Club Doom, and it didn't sound so bad. Anime OSTs can work, obviously must be instrumental.

I've played invasion UAC, I was actually wondering where I heard the music from, it didn't sound too bad and seemed to blend right in.

I don't know why I'm about to dump a tl;dr srspost, but here we go.
I think the big problem is the idea of anime as some specific kind of ~*~sTyLe~*~ or genre that needs to be adhered to.
This is dumb. It's wrong. And it's the biggest problem with a lot of "anime in Doom!" suggestions, or in fact "anime in X!" suggestions as a whole, because it's trying to think of anime as something that it isn't. Anime is not a genre, anime is a medium. You'd be just as well saying "books in Doom!" or "film in Doom!".
Doing the soundtrack "to sound like it came straight from an anime opening" has absolutely no information by itself since it's doing exactly that problem, trying to pinpoint anime down as a specific genre--which it isn't. Do you want the music to be metal, jazz, chiptune, pop, EDM?
Doom is not an anime, it is a video game. As a video game, it should adhere to a consistent stylistic and artistic direction. Metal music is the most complimentary to original Doom's aesthetic, though obviously depending on the gameplay mod and/or mapset currently loaded there might be another type of music complimentary to the aesthetic.
Catastrophe linked White Reflection, which is a fantastic song--it doesn't work because it's an "anime song", it works because it fits the tone of the map and what's happening at the moment. You could use
this song in a deathmatch pack and it would work not because it's an "anime song", but because it's fast-paced and aggressive metal music for killing to. Also because it's
rad as fuck, but that's neither here nor there.
The reason why things like Shogo and Oni work is because they're not trying specifically to say "LET'S DO AN ANIME GAME!". They're taking inspiration from very specific sources, and an animated artstyle is only one facet of it. The reason they're good isn't specifically because of the anime art influence, it's because of the fun gameplay, cool music, and awesome guns.
Swan Fox would have been h̶o̶r̶r̶i̶b̶l̶e̶
wonderful regardless of whether it was an anime art style, a film noir art style, or a comic book art style. The combination of MSPaint art, unresponsive weapons, bland levels, forced story with unskippable cutscenes, and etc are vastly more important than what art style or music decision were used.
Hell, Strife uses a comic book artstyle and it's worse than any anime-art game I've ever played

I can pretty much understand and rather have always understood why the anime art style doesn't fit into doom, Shiga's Swan Fox actually made me cringe (a lot mainly because no good shading aswell), what I am just saying here is if we produced the music as if it were some sort of badass metal opening from an anime with the same beats but different style/genre like J-Metal would this still produce the same result, would the music still be enjoyable to listen to while playing the game? I am sorry I am not explaining myself very well, this is actually my second day being up and I am lacking much required sleep.
I am also not saying "Let's convert doom into anime game" no that's just wrong, I may be an anime fan but I am just a casual, I watch it because I can enjoy most of the content and pass the time, comedies have actually been more of my favorite actually, that cutesy stuff is a little too much for me (And oh god can I rant about the amount of stupid stuff on youtube pertaining anime I have seen, it's just so annoying to have Kawaii and what the hell ever japanese word shoved in your face in other chatsites too)
EDIT: Actually, I don't think I made much sense to begin with actually, everything I do is odd (For example, I do stuff the ways they aren't supposed to when it's clearly better the other way) and I always have trouble explaining things, even though my vocabulary should support it.

I totally agree with your post, but I do find that sometimes unfitting music can just as successfully "work" for a map - What I mean is like, there's all those all DM maps that have totally unfitting MIDIs from Ace of Base or Paul Young or whoever, but because the MIDIs are so damn relaxed it actually puts me in a certain mood where I play better because the music isn't having that "GET FUKN PUMPED BRO" effect on me and I'm being more thoughtful and collected as a result.
Again, I'm not disagreeing at all, I just think it's interesting how a music choice that "doesn't fit" can actually "fit" but in a totally unforseen yet equally effective way.
