Zandronum 3.0 Question.

I managed to get my hands on a Zandronum 3.0 alpha version. I tested it and it's great. I was just wondering when it gets released can it still have the same openGL we currently have on Zandronum 2.1? The reason I ask is because I play Doom on my laptop that isn't a gaming computer that has an Intel graphics card and when I tried 3.0 none of the shader options worked at all. I got dark areas where the brightmaps and other shaders are suppose to have brightness and lights. I'm guessing it was because I needed a better graphics card to make it work? I know I might be jumping the gun here because it is still a work in progress but all I'm saying is it would really be nice if you guys could keep the current openGL we have in 2.1 for 3.0 because the openGL shaders options still work great with my laptop on version 2.1. :smile:

The release date is When It- oh, right, we don't do that here. The release date is Soon™.

I have no idea what's changed GL-wise, though. Ask on #zatesting, that's your best chance.

Read the GZDoom change logs and try to pinpoint where the latest development stands based on what's backported. I think the newest GZ has optimized GL code.
Reinforcements: midgame Survival joining/respawning
Doom64: Unabsolved: Doom64 + Diablo II
ZandroSkins: a pack made by our community
AeniPuffs: 3D blood and bullet puff effects, free to use for your own mods
Squad Radio: a WASD-based radio chat menu, add your own custom sounds!

Zandronum 3.0 will definitely be based on ZDoom 2.6.0.

2.7.1 ?! :eek: Amazing ! Zdoom stopped at 2.7.1 since 2013, so is there a possibility for Zandronum to have more decorate/acs stuff than Zdoom after the 3.0 ?

There are way more dev builds after that.
Not sure why they don't make them official or post them in the regular download part, though.
Why is finding the user CP so hard?

According to the schedule note in the tracker, but just like Sean said, it's subject to change depending on how things go, if devs are busy having a life, etc.

Yeah, but (g)zdoom has all of these dev builds that get updated several times a week. (though they are pretty minor updates)

Maybe someone could ask the DRDTeam or whoever does it to also do it for Zandronum?

I'd like to think of this as separation of Church and State they take care of their own respectively and we're expected to do the same so to speak.

In a nutshell, they probably wouldn't do it.

But hey, nothing is impossible why just yesterday I managed to divide by ze- *shot*
