Zandronum & multiple monitors

i was wanting to know if there were future plans for zandronum to detect and take advantage of multiple monitor setups? for example: while the main monitor is displaying the main gamplay, the other monitor(s) could be displaying the map of the level or co-op or deathmatch info.

Vanilla Doom used to have a triple monitor mode for gameplay. However, it's not what your describing and I have no idea if this mode has even been added back into Zandronum, seeing as it was removed in v1.2.

Chocolate != Vanilla
Anyway, this used to be possible with Nvidia NVision, but that's gone now.
But before something like this can come to Zandronum itself, it has to be added to ZDoom first.

Have the doomwiki.org page that says that it was in vanilla, then. :V

I picked Chocolate's page on it because it had an image to help visualize it. Besides, the Chocolate page also explicitly states it was in earlier versions of vanilla.

No problem, even though it didn't actually help you in any way. ;P

You could attempt to ask about it on the tracker (but, as Dark-Assassin said, chances are questionable because, although I'd think that the fact that it was a feature at one point would raise its chances, ZDoom doesn't appear to have it which will lower its chances).

EDIT: though if you do ask on the tracker suggest it in a normal way like modern games do it not the weird network hack that vanilla used

it was as Dark Assassin said, in order for Zandronum to support multiple monitors, ZDooM has to support it first. so i suggested it as a feature in zdoom's forums. but with in a mind numbing 3 minutes. the subject was closed because of the amount of work that it would take to add support for multiple monitors and no one there had the time to add it. oh well. :D

Maybe a bit offtopic but how does zandronum deal with ultrawide resolutions? (i.e. 2560x1080) Mainly as that seems much nicer solution to me then a bunch of monitors on a row.

i don 't know much about the way zandronum works internally. but it would be logical that it would not matter how wide your primary monitor was. you would always have the same F.O.V (Field Of View), the forward view. with multiple monitors you woud be able to expand your F.O.V to your left and right. simular to VR but without the bulky headset. or you could display the automap or deathmatch/co-op info on one of the other monitors. that way you could see these things without cluttering up the main monitor.
