Zandronum

My friend wants to join a Doom 2 server, but when he starts it up, Zandronum is loading Hexen instead of Doom 2.

What, did he name hexen.wad as Doom2.wad or something...

......Wat. Never heard of this issue. Hows it that even possible, your server browser should point your Zand the IWAD to use. Have you tested on other Doom 2 servers?

Basically, you cannot use mods with the Shareware/Demo version of that IWAD.
Also, you cannot connect to a server that uses the full version of that IWAD with a Shareware/Demo version.

Hold shift while starting the game to select Iwad. I don't think your friend even bothered putting the Iwad in the correct folder or pointing doomseeker to its location.

He doesn't have the hexen wad.
