So I started using DooM legacy 4th release on my psp and its probably the best port ive seen on it. But its just one issue and thats the music. It apparently takes ogg and mp3 formats. But ive changed the names to the correct thing and have both ogg and mp3 and neither work. So what am I doing wrong?

Well what i used doesnt require you to use CFW just for you to make a new folder and place the stuff in there.

Its pretty simple. I dont know about the forum thing cuz all it is,is a pc port put on a psp which i dont think got alot of recognition compared to another port.

I don't know anything about ports for the PSP, but I do know that changing the name of a file doesn't change what the file is.
