Limiting entities/objects

Most invasion maps become unplayable when using Brutal Doom, with huge drops on the framerate, due to sheer amount of gibs and bloodstains, so I need to circumvent this.
How do you reduce the maximum number of entities/objects?
Is there a way to make bodies, gibs and bloodstains disappear after a while OR limit their number so that old ones disappear when new ones spawn?
