This thread is designed to store all the little findings, early sprites, maps etc.

I'll start

Early Zombieman sprite. From Alpha 0.4 I guess

Sorry, is this thread about claiming stuff is something else when it's not or...?

I know it's from a early alpha version of doom, and would you like to point me in the direction of where this was stated to be a early version of the zombieman?
An early version of the zombieman appears in the IWAD file of Doom 0.4, although the sprite (POSSA) does not appear in the game. The sprite is almost identical to the Doomguy; it is slightly lighter in color, and has crudely drawn square red eyes (to show that it is possessed). The only frame is a full frontal view, with no rotations. In Doom 0.5, however, the sprite is virtually identical to the finished version.
First off, this is just an assumption. There is no actual evidence saying it is an early version of the zombieman.

On other news, what is the point of this thread? (other than the obvious give me a reason why we need to collect this stuff?)

It's your wish whether if you want to collect or not. It's just for storing the changes from different Doom versions, little differences and trivi.

EDIT: Also, how is it an assumption?

We already have this all on the wiki's as well as the alpha versions which are downloadable.

And yet it's the first thing you brought up.
Anything you could possibly achieve in this thread has already been covered by the previous link, as well as the Doom and ZDoom Wikis.
