Zandronum wads

#1

Post by Flaminglacier » Fri Jun 22, 2012 12:07 am

So I posted this thread in hopes of a resurrection in co-op wad mapping. I've always been a huge fan of zdaemon specifically because of there co-op wads. Destination unknown,Shogun,Dbzone, cacocorruption, these are all fine co-op wads And I believe that's one thing skulltag lacked. Skulltag has some pretty amazing multiplayer wads but I'm getting bored of jumpmaze and aow.

I hope Zandronum brings forth some decent co-op wads I am actually putting together a project now based on the old zdaemon co-op wads. I'll make a post in projects once I have some screenshots to post. To be honest I miss the cooperative gameplay mode of online doom, opinions?

Yes I do know, and the reason no one plays them is because there old. I'm saying there should be a lot more being made. It seems like no new co-op wads have been made for a few years now.

Jenesis is a moderately new Co-op wad, still less than a year old.

AFAIK, Survive in Hell is a decent Hell Revealed style co-op wad.

That is...an exaggeration so stretched that even slinkies can't go that far. Maybe if you were a HeXen or a Strife fan I'd agree, but just co-op?

http://www.doomworld.com/idgames/ If you follow the Latest Files section at the bottom, there's new wads being uploaded about daily. Most of them are co-op.
Hell, Doomworld's /Newstuff Chronicles are great for keeping up with what new releases are out there.

That's not even going into the bevy of older not-recent wads that're great for co-op play.
