Why use the st client?
Why use the st client?
Wasn't the point of this "move" to refresh the community and the staff, and move on from what is known as Skulltag? Skulltag is dead to me and is the past, Zandronum is the here and now! That being said, why are almost all of the popular servers still using the Skulltag clients..? Kinda seems dumb to me.
RE: Why use the st client?
I do not believe there has been an official release of Zandronum the source port as of yet.

RE: Why use the st client?
Most servers refuse to migrate until Zandronum has a "stable" release version (understandable).
That is so far the only reason I believe.

Well, this might be called an alpha, but It's gotta be pretty darn stable as it is based off a program that has been running for quite awhile. I suppose it makes sense, thanks.

No. The point of this move was to get a stable website. Refreshing the community and the staff was a welcome side effect. The development goals for Zandronum are pretty much unchanged. Zandronum is essentially Skulltag 98e, which hasn't been released yet. Most server hosts are reluctant to use alphas.jakedj93 wrote: Wasn't the point of this "move" to refresh the community and the staff, and move on from what is known as Skulltag?
