Zandronum

So as you might have noticed, we are back in duty. A week ago GV went down, trolls were celebrating and those who are here to actually play the game couldn't play on their favourite server. And I thought hey.. that's not the right way now.

With current state of affairs, we decided to press the power switch and do a hard reboot with some reorganizations, which means for now, we have a new blank sheet, all bans and grudges were wiped and everyone is welcome to join our drama-free group in #grandvoid.

That was a wasted good April Fools joke there though, eh.

So the whole thing's being passed off as a big publicity stunt?

Dude. I'd almost say that's low, considering how the shutdown came to happen in the first place (I watched the heated argument that led to it). Now the whole ordeal that affected all of Zandronum's populace was all to get back at some "trolls"? Toying with the whole community to get back at some random small handful of people? It's the principle of the matter that strikes me as just... wrong.

I'll have to agree with Goliath and Medicris over here. We all saw the pastebins Jenova provided in his discussion thread. Only kids/fools would buy it AT THIS STAGE. I mean, come on, how dumb do you have to be (or naive, I don't know) to think of everything like this? Man...

As for the return of GV itself, I really don't care much anyway. I guess it's better for euro clans :P

I never saw the pastebins. Back when I checked the thread, pastebin was down, so I couldn't check them... And I didn't bother checking the thread later on.

You misjudged the issue. The heated argument had little to do with my resolution, which has been made before and was more or less just a matter of time. And look, I didn't make a dramatic thread, or publicity stunt about it.
When you are a rock fan and join a rock band, and see that after some time it gradually moves to playing country, would you stay in that band? It's how I feel. Now consider that I spend countless mass of money and time on *this*..

I realized that I can try a different approach, break the stereotype, you name it. If you want to call it "publicity stunt", I don't consider it any bigger publicity stunt than AlexMax's/NJ pull to Odamex just to return 3 days later, or Jenova's overly concern about a group of people criticizing his server policy (just throwing these out here for reference; I wish AlexMax and Jenova many successful days of service).

Well, For me the best "full" server is grandvoid from canada, I could get 150 ping on it *_*, NE i got 160-80 and The (uk grandvoid and iddqd) I got 220-250 .-.

Glad you finally threw out your idea of a typical American, goes to show how shallow and ignorant you actually are. No, I don't think i'm the center of the universe, I have no problem playing on European servers. I'll play on the NL servers any day BUT Grand Void has always been terrible. I know i'm not the only one to say that either and I hardly see you fit to run them.
