[Solution]

(shift+insert) to paste into a terminal

1. open up a terminal

2. type (without the quotes) : "cd /usr/games/zandronum"

3. type (without the quotes) : "sudo cp libfmodex-4.24.16.so /usr/lib/libfmodex-4.24.16.so"

4. then type (without the quotes) : "sudo cp liboutput_sdl.so /usr/lib/liboutput_sdl.so"

Not sure why the .deb doesn't install the libraries there, but it doesn't seem to...

Be careful...

You can also alt+f2 "gksu nautilus" to do it visually rather than from a command line.

Or an easier alternative without bothering to copy files is to go to Doomseeker > Options > Configure > Engines > Zandronum and change the “Path to client binary:” to:

Code: Select all

/usr/bin/zandronum

If you want to use the shell script to launch the binary, then do what skyrimguy said.

The libraries (.so files) should have been installed to /usr/lib/ or /usr/lib64/ but am a but unsure why it has not.
