Took me about 2 hours to make it.

"To color your name in Zandronum you need to add:
/c" So that's a backslash right?

Good tutorial though.

Do note that \cl (L) is untranslated, not dark red. Untranslated means that the font will be drawn with its graphics as-is, without colorizing. It's only red because the IWAD font is in red. In CC4, for instance, it is green, because the IWAD small font is recolored to green.

Why can't it be used to make word Multiplayer in menu for many wads, especially iwads, work properely?

It works fine enough for me... what's wrong with it?

You know, this thing:
Image
Sure it won't make it look like a right font (it's a graphic, not text, yes?), but it would look less ugly.

Hmm. As a matter of fact, Strife seems to suffer from this, too.. Raven IWADs are fine.

EDIT: Made a tracker ticket for this. Let's end the derailing...

Did this awhile ago for all the letter codes and might provide more information on the color codes. Tested all the color translations on a custom font that was pure red (FFFFFF) with a black border (000000).

(also didn't know about the L thing cool stuff)

* is chat color, + takes whatever color the text would have been, and uses the previous color instead.

Good tutorial though.
Fixed that.
I'm a human - I make mistakes too.
And anyway you could see that I got it right in all the other examples.

-If you want to color text using the console you need to use two blackslashes before the C ("\\c").
Usually works with single \ IIRC if you do something like this:
name \"\cgI \cfSuck"
With binds: bind x "name \"\cgI \cfSuck"

Doesn't work on the forums. Use the [color] tag for that.

There's also color codes like:

Code: Select all

\c[red]
\c[darkred]
\c[green]
\c[darkgreen]
\c[blue]
\c[lightblue]
\c[yellow]
\c[gold]
\c[grey] or \c[gray]
\c[white]
\c[black]
\c[tan]
\c[purple]
\c[brown]
\c[cyan]
These are just off the top of my head that I just tested, there's probably a few more
