SR40's in my blood though, to the point where I wonder why it doesn't work in most other games.

SR50 = crutch? Whatever, bro.

And yes, I can use SR50 pretty well. For the most part, it's about balance between that and SR40, cause its' true you can't change direction when you're using SR50, but it's definitely useful when you have the flag and are trying to get away.

I just SR-50 the oldschool way; bind mouse2 +strafe, SR-40 while mousestrafing in your direction. No fancy binds. SR-50 isn't worth it most of the time.

Same, I try to straferun in every game ever.
I have sr-50 bind, depends of what I play I exchange mouse2 bind to sr-50, chaingun snipe and altfire. I don't use chaingun snipe in competitive because it feels like cheat, but I don't feel bad using sr-50, I can't use it for some advantage anyway, such a linear running makes me an easier target, I use it for long distances and jumping in places.

I use it constantly throughout any ctf or duel. It's the trick of knowing when to not use SR-50 and switch back to SR-40 that makes it worth the extra push.
