Yeah, I changed mine a while ago. The avatar system on these forums are really retarded. You have to manually refresh your own page for other avatars to update.

Yes, the avatar system is down since the server is being migrated.

The placebo effect is strong isn't it? The avatars are served telling the user's browser to cache for up to 48 hours. Forcing a refresh causes your browser to actually go fetch the avatar from the server. After 48 hours everyone will see the new avatar and no amount of refreshing on your end will change that. The purpose of this is to speed up page load times and reduce transfer volume requirements.
