Okay, it's fully implanted. A login system, based on some small parts of k6patch is there.

To use it, you won't need an admin from BaseQ or whatever. You'll need to talk to [CTF]CompetBOT instead.

In order to get a password, you'll need to get an account from ChanServ, and a valid email.

so PM CompetBOT, and write to it:

!pctf_register YOUR@email.address 
He'll send you an email with a verification password, and the command. Once you've done it, you'll receive another mail, with this time the password you'll need to use to connect to the server. The passwords are randomly generated and are encrypted, so keep it in a secure place. We won't be able to give you passwords if you've lost it.

EDIT: Also, I enabled callvote forcespec on the duel servers.

23/11/2014 edit: Also, I've added french wads in cooperation/survival (3HA, 3HA2, SIH, CoH).
TDM, and the now private NoSpec server now requires a private password in order to connect.

Small update about the bot's development and the server itself.

1) So this is it: the competitive BaseQ servers (as well as the bot) now includes public statistics about the players! You'll know a lot of stuffs:

Also, some little functions of the bot have been fixed. We're deeply sorry if it recently spammed you (beh, malicious users :P ).

2) The !private function have now the possibility to choose between US and EU servers, like this:

A server will be chosen in the region wanted.

3) The server has now the Quake 3's "you have to wait 2 seconds before force-respawn" removed, so that you can respawn normally, ala vanilla in TDM. Who said upcoming tournament, by the way?!

- Oops! Fixed time being negative.
- The timer is increased by 1 minute when people joins a privateCTF.

08/12/2014:
	- Fixed empty strings! (Might help against many string crashes!)
	- !addprivate command now gives the time left (15 minutes) before the private request expires.
	- !scrim command now gives the time left (10 minutes) before the scrim request expires.
	- Mini optimisations about NickServ commands.
	
07/12/2014:
	- Added some python conversions.
	- Some micro optimisations with the GCC compiler.
	- More restrictions about the !scrim command. Cooldown: 10 minutes.
		^- Going to restrict this even more by finding teams and actual clans by referring them to their teams.

STATISTICS

- We modified our way to handle stats, so that there won't be any more that big lag at the end of a game.

- Added a "Ragequit" punishment. To keep it simple: As long as you played and you disconnected midgame, you'll need to come back as a player. Else, bad things will happen:
    • You'll lose, even if your team won.
    • Your Frags will be reset to 0.
    • You'll get your Ragequit counter incremented. Having a certain amount of ragequits "registered" means you'll be banned once for 3 days, then 1 week, 2 weeks, and permanently.

- Saved stats are now handled better than ever!
Please note that it can still have errors, even though we deeply tried it before releasing. If so, please leave a comment!

Not really sure how effective the banning measures will be. Sometimes people have to leave the game for legitimate reasons or emergencies. You said yourself that it is still prone to errors, and seems unfair that somebody could eventually be banned for unintentional circumstances. Just my opinion but you should leave such action to you mods in the case of somebody RQ'ing, and not to an automated system.


Aside from that, good job with the stats.

You have a point about that.

When you are playing competitively, you need to make sure you're free to play an entire game. But there are still some unexpected things to happen (timeouts mostly), even nowadays...

Anyway, I have removed that "ban counter" drawback. The other drawbacks are still present however. To prevent timeouters to lose a point (especially on scrims for instance, to keep wasting time for nothing), I should add a "timeout/timein" command + pwad to call it through a puke command.

There are still 2 problems I need to fix first on the server, even if those are minor issues. That case that every player who played and finished a map joins instantly the next one (especially on the lobby), and a voting issue, still waiting to hear spectator's vote even if they aren't allowed to (NOW FIXED AND REPORTED).

By the way, I'll add for today/tomorrow a function for Competbot to retrieve your password, as well as fixing some things, the time to implant python language/plugins to the bot. Changing the password may happen too for a future release, but right now, I think that'll be enough for people forgetting their account.

Speaking of stats: I'm thinking to modify the database, to differenciate frags on CTF/Duel/TDM. I'm also finishing to implement match history too for the website.

Tl;DR: adding and fixing new stuffs.

- Fixed a very small problem with ragequit players, since the removal of ban-triggering.
- Reworked internally the code at the end of a game.
- Tweaked a little the conditions on when triggering statistics, with ragequitters.
- "callvote map" now does the same as "callvote changemap", just in a shorter way.
- Spectators aren't considered as "valid voters" now (bug with sv_nocallvote 2 reported here -> http://zandronum.com/tracker/view.php?id=2213 )
- Players now are instantly put into their respective teams (sv_keepteams behaviour). However, they are instantly back as spectators on the lobby map.
- Force Respawning now works correctly, is DOOM2.EXE style, and players auto-respawn after 5 seconds. (Thank you JCD/Fsn76 for reporting me this) [EDIT: REMOVED THE AUTO-RESPAWNING]
- Added "timein"/"timeout" for scrims. It's triggerable serverside when a player is missing. An ACS script will be done soon.

COMPETBOT

- !pctf_remember on the bot will give you the credentials related to connect to our server with your account.
- Fixed a slight problem with the database and recent registrations.

- Added Accuracy statistics! You'll know be able to know how many shots/hits you did per weapon, with your overall precision. In other words, great stuff awaits you.
- Added admin rights for those having dynamic IPs. (however, it's only internal, sorry for you guys!)
- Updated hudtimer to v4 (Private CTF only)
- [private repo only] Added RPi2 compilation scripts.
- Server now refuses to update stats once a changemap from a non-lobby map has been triggered.
