what is the command in Zandronum? stretched 4:3 aspect ratio is disgusting
Force Aspect Ratio OFF ??
Force Aspect Ratio OFF ??
I'm using Zandronum v1.0 on my Netbook but i realized that there is no such option as Force Aspect Ratio OFF in Video Mode. This feature exists in GZDoom v1.8.2 and ensures playing in correct 16:9 aspect ratio.

RE: Force Aspect Ratio OFF ??
Only thing I can find is setting "vid_nowidescreen false" in the console. I have no clue why this is as well. There seems to be alot of cvars that do the same thing with Zdoom Features...
RE: Force Aspect Ratio OFF ??
vid_nowidescreeen "true" excludes all available resolutions, which are 16:9 and 16:10 ratio in set video mode.
vid_nowidescreeen "false" does the opposite.
vid_tft "true" sets resolution 1280x1024 in 5:4 ratio and makes lower 5:4 resolutions available.
(stretches sprites in width, therefore not my preference)
vid_tft "false" makes resolution 1280x1024 in 4:3 ratio (Doom like)
Somehow I don't get it how it can be stretched, if you choose for instance, 1920x1080 resolution from 16:9 ratio assuming that's your monitor native resolution. I am pretty much uncertain does all the resolutions have the same view or others do alternation of 4:3 with stretching.
I suppose, that 1024:600 ratio of netbooks is 16:9.

RE: Force Aspect Ratio OFF ??
I'm not sure what you're asking. The aspect ratio is correct in 16:10 resolutions for me. What is the command in GZDoom?

In GZDoom, there's a setting in Video options to force an aspect ratio.Qent wrote: I'm not sure what you're asking. The aspect ratio is correct in 16:10 resolutions for me. What is the command in GZDoom?
For example, you could have 1024x768 and force it to 16:9. It'll stretch to 1366x768, but it's being stretched from 1024x768 to do so. The reverse works too, in that it'll compress the screen.

Okay, I tried it in GZDoom and I see what you mean. I don't know what to tell you; Zandronum seems to act as though it's always "Off" for me.
