3D Flooring

#1

Post by Mr.Man » Tue Jun 11, 2013 4:45 am

Hey everybody, i got a question (obvious).

So i've been workign on a project for a while, and i wanted to make a detailed waterfall. So i added swimmable water, which is also a slope. Now that i added it, the top keeps changing to alpha 255 (not transparent). i cannot undo this. Anybody have an idea on how to fix it?

You cannot have translucent, sloped 3D floors. GZDoom just doesn't support it.

Make it additive translucent, that's a good workaround.

Pretty sure that's not in Zandronum, considering it's a new feature in ZDoom 2.7.0.

I thought the ZCCP used it extensively.

3dfloors can either be translucent or sloped, not both. It's just not supported in the engine.

Edit:

Although surprisingly additive sloped 3dfloors works.

It's not new. Additive Translucent 3D Floors have existed for over 4 years in GZDoom.
