Mac compatible?
Mac compatible?
This may be a dumb question, but is zandronum (and IDE for that matter) compatible with Mac computers? I may have to get one for school and I'm wondering if I'll be able to doom on it.

RE: Mac compatible?
It doesn't have OpenGL currently, but yes, there is a Mac OS X version of Zandronum.

A terrible one.mr fiat wrote:yes it is, but. what kind of school forces you to have a mac?!Acolyte_ wrote: This may be a dumb question, but is zandronum (and IDE for that matter) compatible with Mac computers? I may have to get one for school and I'm wondering if I'll be able to doom on it.
My elementary school used to make us work on AppleIIe computers, and after that, they got iMacs and then eMacs. Good god those were the worst computing days of my life.
Ontopic: Zandronum has full OSX support minus the GL renderer; IDE is Windows-only but Doomseeker is cross-platform.

I believe there is one major glitch with Mac's that are going to be fixed in 1.1
RE: Mac compatible?
I am going to school for telecommunications with a focus in audio, and they do everything here on Macs it seems. I am not positive if it is required, but it's still a possibility.mr fiat wrote:yes it is, but. what kind of school forces you to have a mac?!Acolyte_ wrote: This may be a dumb question, but is zandronum (and IDE for that matter) compatible with Mac computers? RE: Mac compatible?
Watermelon, there is the forkbombing issue that was fixed, but the Mac version does have a few issues due to Zandronum not being caught up with the latest ZDoom. I think as long as the maps being played prebuilt the nodes it should be fine though.
