Understandable to prefer software when the GPU is so bad that it runs like that. Most of the older intel chips from that generation seemed even weaker than some accelerators from the 1990s. (ie. Voodoo2). Especially when combined with a piss-weak CPU such as the Celeron, in which they shared processing time with.

BTW, you might want to update your quote there, I had edited my post.

good thing it aint my main pc thou my main pc isn't very impressive either (intel celeron e3400 + AMD HD6450) its good enough to play zh and wdi at acceptable frame rates (thou with wdi i have to lower settings if I use FRAPS along with it) thou I'm considering getting something new, thinking of using a AMD A10-5800K proccesor + HD6670.

I have seen the light.

For I have shunned laptops for desktops.

Now all is good. See the light, laptoppers.

Seriously though, if you want to do any sort of gaming and not have it crap out on you, be ridiculously overpriced, lackluster performance and heat issues, irreplacable broken components (monitor, keyboard, everything), get a desktop. Have a netbook around for when you need a mobile PC, but don't make the poor thing do what it's not supposed to do.

Your travel is alot more important to begin with. No need to have concern for my issues. You're also right with the advancement and what not.. I still have hope however Zandronum will be alot more stable and updates often from GZDooM's OpenGL.

It is single core lmao.

I'll keep torturing it till the SDD dies and a Desktop isn't an option as I'm not right next to my modem.

Hey I didn't know the thing gonna be THIS bad.. just wanted something that'd play shit from time to time; was really only into DooM mostly at the time before I started playing other, more demanding things.

And if your potential desktop can't be bothered with an internal card...

You don´t require a badass notebook to play zandronum in opengl, and I think there´s more cheaper solutions that you could use it...

It's a fair complaint when you try to play something and just don't have the specs for it, but to be fair, commercial games are sold with minimum spec info on the box, and free mods don't really have that obligation.

In the end, if your car is slow, you shouldn't be on the motorway.

The truth is that Stronghold and WDI were made for the OpenGL renderer, thus the proper fix would be to make them software-compatible.
